Dear First Church Family and Friends,
We are grateful that so many have participated in our sermon series on generosity. Pastor David’s messages, the devotional Practicing Extravagant Generosity, the videos, the classes, the small groups, and the Heart Cards have all been opportunities to grow as Disciples in this grace of giving. It is our hope that you have been blessed by all of these experiences.
There is a question raised by the psalmist, which we read in one of the devotionals, “How can I repay the Lord / for all His goodness to me?” (Ps 116:12 NIV). We can only find the answer in our hearts. Nothing we have is too big or too grand to offer God. No gift is too small if it represents our prayers, our sacrifice, and a generous portion of our resources. When our hearts are filled with gratitude, nothing God asks of us seems unpleasant or impossible.
Click here for a pledge card. Why is it important to take this step? Your prayerful, intentional efforts to ask God for insight, and then act upon your decision, will express your love and gratitude for God in a personal and tangible way. Your pledge confirms your desire to be fruitful. It also enables the church to implement ministries throughout the year. Giving calls us to put our trust in God as we give away resources we think we need.
Please fill out the Pledge Form and mail it back to the church or place it in the offering plate on Sunday.
Annual Pledge To FUMC Operating Fund for 2012
Why is returning a Pledge Card important?
By completing and returning a Pledge Card, you are expressing your intent and affirming your desire to honor God with your resources. Returning your Pledge Card makes it possible for our church to plan and implement ministries without hesitation. Knowing your plans allows wise management of resources throughout the year. All ministries our church implements are dependent on the generosity of God’s people.
