The Children’s Ministry Team warmly welcomes you to First United Methodist Church Children's Ministry. We invite you to become involved in the many Christ-centered programs offered in a loving, nurturing and supportive environment. Jesus said; “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of Heaven.” (Matthew 19:14). Our mission is to train and nurture children so they may be filled with the light of Christ and may SHINE Christ's glory wherever they go.

Children are one of God’s greatest gifts to us and we try to provide a variety of programs and activities that will introduce a child to a life of faith in God. We offer childcare and programming for nursery age through 5th grade.

Back-To–School Family Social

Fri., Sept, 10 _ 6-8 p.m.

We’ll provide the movie, pizza, salad, drinks and ice cream for dessert! You bring your favorite ice cream topping……

 Parents, please join us for a quick gathering to share some new changes and plans for the upcoming year. Plan to be there at 6:00 to hear all the wonderful information. You don’t want to miss it!

Wednesday Night Live! Children’s Program

Begins September 8 - 5 to 7:30 PM

Program includes:

 Alpha Choir - 5:00 to 6:00 PM for preschoolers and first grade

 led by Betty Schafer in the Chapel

Gloria Choir - 5:00 to 6:00 PM for elementary age children

led by Kelly Bonyata in room 402

These choirs are an exciting way for children to praise and worship God through music while having a good time with friends. They will perform occasionally in worship services, Christmas and Easter productions and culminate the year with a spring musical production.

Dinner for all - 6 to 6:30 PM in Fellowship Hall

Kid’s Bible Study - 6:30 to 7:30 PM

“Extreme Sayings that Jesus Made in the Bible”

Come the first Wednesday to register your child for the program.

Back-To-School Lock-in For All 1st - 5th graders

$10 per child + a new book or pj’s

 to donate to the Pajama Program

Weekday Ministries

Parents' Morning Out

A weekday drop-in program for children 9 months to 2 years, from 9-12 noon. Children’s activities include outdoor play, music, crafts, games, snacks and other special activities while Mom or Dad have time for themselves.

Preschool Day School

Preschool program for children ages 2-4 years of age, designed to give these children a solid foundation upon which to build their formal education and spiritual life.

Wednesday Night Live!

An evening of choir, dinner, games and Bible study for children 2 years to 5^th grade.
