The Children’s Ministry Team warmly welcomes you to First United Methodist Church’s Children Ministry. We invite you to become involved in the many Christ-centered programs offered in a loving, nurturing and supportive environment. Jesus said; “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of Heaven.” (Matthew 19:14). Our mission in Children’s Ministry is to supplement the family in their attempt to lay down a spiritual foundation that, in God’s timing, will lead a child into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Children are one of God’s greatest gifts to us and we try to provide a variety of programs and activities that will introduce a child to a life of faith in God. We offer childcare and programming for nursery age through 5^th grade.

Weekday Ministries

Parents' Morning Out

A weekday drop-in program for children 9 months to 2 years, from 9-12 noon. Children’s activities include outdoor play, music, crafts, games, snacks and other special activities while Mom or Dad have time for themselves.

Preschool Day School

Preschool program for children ages 2-4 years of age designed to give these children a solid foundation upon which to build their formal education and spiritual life.

Wednesday Nite Live!

An evening of choir, dinner, games and Bible study for children 4 years to 5^th grade, beginning a new season in September.

Blessing of the Babies – January celebration of new babies born during the year

Children’s Outreach Ministries – Projects for our children to help other children

Kidz & Dadz – Events for children and their Dads or the male role model in their lives

Lock –In – Overnight adventure that includes games, food, movies, crafts, and lots of fun
