First Light

“First Light" is the contemporary music ministry of First United Methodist Church. The “praise team” consists of eight musicians and a 20-member vocal group. Instruments incorporated include piano, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, drums, bass guitar, electronic keyboards, violin, saxophone and mandolin. First Light plays contemporary Christian music designed to appeal to a wide age range. The group plays every Sunday morning at the 9:30 a.m. Contemporary service and rehearses on Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  Auditions are held periodically as needed throughout the year.
